POLITICIANS MUST STOP USING NON GOVERNMENTAL BODYGUARDS AS PERSONAL SECURITY MEN, THE WAY FORWARD TO BAN VIGILANTISM - Director of Operations, Educate Ghana Summit.

🇬🇭 Press Release
POLITICIANS MUST STOP USING NON GOVERNMENTAL BODYGUARDS AS PERSONAL SECURITY MEN, THE WAY FORWARD TO BAN VIGILANTISM - Director of Operations, Educate Ghana Summit.

The uproar going on in the country concerning  the rampant political vigilantism needs no inter political parties meetings or the president passing any executive instrument to ban this excruciating vandalism and hooliganism tarnishing the image of mother: Ghana.

Political leaders in Africa and especially Ghana  have  psychologic created an insecure  society for themselves based on their own deeds on daily basis.

I don't see why politicians should be running after 'macho men for personal security while no one is chasing them.

Political vigilantism begins from this strange practice of day where, every MP , Minister, DCE, MCE, government appointee, former government appointee and even executives of political parties must always have 'macho men' and 'Ghetto boys' as their  personal security men.

The guilty conscience of Ghanaian politicians is the major cause of the uncontrollable political vigilantism we are facing today as a country. When one practices honest and truthful leadership in the sight of his/her people, and doing the right thing, what then will call for security men around him always, let alone non official or governmental personal security men around him /her?

Politicians recruit and select this so called personal security guys, give them training in secrecy, armed them more than the state security personnel to protect and defend them against their opponents hence, the basis for political vigilantism in Ghana.

Political authors in this country pick up  this 'macho men' and street boys as personal security guys, when they fail  in fulfilling their promises made to these guys, then they start misbehaving by engaging in contract killings, beating up civil servants and innocent Ghanaians in search of jobs or indirectly expressing their disappointment in  their masters.

The ultimate solution to ban and eradicate political vigilantism to regain the lost peace and integrity of mother Ghana, is to practice, honest, accountable, transparent, truthful and democratic leadership deeply in other to prevent the psychological insecurity they have created for themselves as leaders.

Every politician in this country must stop engaging 'macho men', street and 'ghetto guys' as personal security men. We should rather Work hard to make the economy attractive and resilient to grant these so called personal security guys better jobs to earn a living instead of using them as personal security men which later generates into vigilantism.

Any politician who will still feel insecure after practicing honest and truthful leadership, should go for the police as personal security men instead of the 'macho men' and street boys.

Political authors must  prioritize the use of the Ghana police service for all their security needs and pay for the country to generate more revenue to develop and grow.

Parliament must pass an act to ban every politician from using non official and in fact, non governmental security personnel such as the 'macho men' and street boys as their personal security men. The act should oblige them to always go for the Ghana Police Service, the Ghana Armed Forces and other state security agencies anytime they need personal security services.

This will go a long way to even encourage the recruitment of more of our teeming youth into the security sector in other to reduce the rapid growth of unemployment in the country.
