MODERNIZE OUR SECURITY SYSTEM AND PROTECT GHANAIANS AS PROMISED, MR. PRESIDENT - Educate Ghana Summit Boss.
With reference to the current killing spree in the country, the CEO of Educate Ghana Summit, Mr. Boadi William has beseeched President Nana Addo to review Ghana's Security System with immediate effect.
Emphatically, in Ghana now Police Officers are still applying the olden days strategy in their operations. That has unable proper policing in the country and Ghanaians too are vanishing painfully including the officers themselves. Sargent Agatha was shot dead in her line of duty including some others. Two police officers were killed at kasoa on the 28th of August 2019 when chasing perpetrators without any arms. At Lapaz, police officers were attacked and killed by arm robbers under sunshine. Robbers Attacked Deputy Governor’s Convoy, Killed three Policemen. Kidnapping has come to stay but our security agencies can't bring them to book. There are a lot of issues to talk about because, our immigration officers too are failing us.
Mr. President, this is my free advise to you, kindly update the training methodology of security system to make them more professional. This may help build the system. That is what you promised Ghanaians on the 7th of January 2017.
Besides, foreign investors are being killed by armed robbers and this is scaring and preventing others from coming to our country.
Again, Mr. President, with all due respect, I want to advise you to enforce the laws to make our lives and properties secured. "BETTER LATE, THAN NEVER". Reshuffling some of your ministers at this moment would go along way to help bring some sanity because it seems those in charge of our security have failed us.
Also, I'm urging the police officers to be professional by respecting themselves because, the money collection at the various check points is now out of hand. That's the main reason why the police service has lost its value.
To my fellow Ghanaians, we are to get involve because, decision making is not a one man's show. Let's share the responsibilities support our security officers.
