THE DECEASED TEACHER, MR. VICTOR BUAMEY DESERVES A STATE BURIAL - _Educate Ghana Summit Boss Mr. Boadi William.
Death is inevitable. But it is so sad and sorrowful when people die unexpectedly. When shall we smell the aroma of good news among teachers? Meetings here and there coupled with harassments have become the order of the day.
The sorrowful part of it all is the death of Mr. Victor Buamey, a French teacher during the just ended new curriculum training workshop conducted by the Ghana Education Service. He was a young man with a nice family. The question here is, who then is ready to take care of his family?
This is the time the country has to show the kind of love she has for the citizens. Protect the family and give scholarships to his children.
This man's death was not a careless one. He was embarking on the assignment given to him by the government. If the Ministry of Education and for that matter the Government refuse to care for his family, things will get out of hands.
He deserves a state burial also. Though, he will not resurrect after the state burial but he was attending to a national call before he met his untimely death. He is also one of the nation's assets.
What is done to other departed souls must be done to him as well.
He deserves a state burial! Late Ebony, Atta Mills and others were buried by the state. In the King's palace, what is done to the first wife is done to the second wife as well.
Educate Ghana Summit is hereby appealing to the government to give some kind of respect to teachers. It is high time we loved and cared for our teachers.
