WHAT IS CURRENCY?
Currency is the paper bills and coins in the hands of the public. It is an item used to facilitate transactions.
LET'S HAVE A LOOK AT CURRENCY COLLAPSE
A currency collapse occurs when the value of a currency falls dramatically.
United States fear that the US Dollar could collapse if National debt became unmanageable and government responded by increasing the money supply.
CURRENCY DEVALUATION
A forced reduction in value of a currency against other currencies.
From the ordinary dictionary(the intentional or deliberate lowering of a currency's value compared to another country's currency or a standard value - the price of gold for example).
Recommendations:
To the citizenry. Don't do the fallowing.
1. Don't wash the currency note. Check your pockets before washing.
2. Don't touch the currency note with dirty hands.
3. Don't write phone and lotto numbers on the currency note and
4. Don't scratch the currency note.
To the economic management team.
Improve exports and reduce imports. In simple terms, a country has to be primarily self sufficient , a good domestic economy without relying much on imports . This is possible only when the populace are *productive enough* to sustain the nation and beyond. The currency will retain its values in the market and the nation will have no debt from the international community. The cedi could well be equal or more valuable when compared to the dollar and the Euro.
Questions:
1.Has United States Dollar collapse or devalue?.
2.Has Ghana Cedi collapse or devalue?.
3. Do we patronize in made in Ghana goods?.
4. Is the trade ministry functioning?.
