TEACHERS MUST FORM ONE SOLID UNION TO DOULBE ACTIONS - Educate Ghana Summit

LACK OF UNANIMITY FROM ALL TEACHERS UNIONS CAUSING FALLING STANDARD IN EDUCATION- Educate Ghana Summit.

All teachers unions have disappointed us(GNAT,NAGRAT,CCT) especially have failed to protecting and safeguarding the interests and the right of teachers in the country, also not seeking the welfare of teachers in country(Condition of Services).

Therefore, we suggest to the general public and the various association of teachers to dismantle All TEACHERS UNIONS with immediate effect and form one SOLID UNION to double actions. Because the existing unions have toothless and are responsible for causing  falling standard of  education in Ghana and teachers as well.

Besides, most of the unions leaders are ''POLITICAL ACTORS" and also not hold the same secret weapon to fight for teachers welfare.

Then again, GNAT has members about two hundred as l am a member this union deducts each member Ghc26.4 every month . They are using our dues for their own interest but not the teachers interest and teachers are worry about this issue. Even some teachers are usually denied to get access to the GNAT hall why?.

Moreover, we want to state emphatically that teachers unions has failed to play their roles for th interest of teachers in the country. Since the pipeline is still choked as you usually say ''it is the pipelines'' after all your previous negotiations and we don't know what happens at the negotiation table.

Again, in our point of view, ALL TEACHERS UNIONS must come under one umbrella and also we urge government to take them seriously for the interest of teachers. Government must implement the written condition of services of teachers and improve the standard of education in Ghana. Because a hungry teacher can never deliver well in the classroom for pupils to acquire much knowledge.

Recently, the president of republic  Ghana H.E Nana Addo Dankwah in his speech indicated that government has paid all arrears accrued to teachers .This false statement presented by   Mr President was not condemned by any of the unions because of their selfish interest

We want to state emphatically that teachers unions has failed to play their roles for the interest of teachers in the country. All Teachers are good but their condition of services are very poor and there's nothing like motivation for them to put in much efforts. When the above are settled, things will change from bad to good performance.
